Overview

Dulux Quick Dry Eggshell is an easy to use, quick drying, non-drip paint with a low sheen, perfect if you’re looking for something in between a matt and a satinwood finish. The Eggshell is a more subtle alternative to satinwood, but not as flat as matt. It touch dries in an hour and is ready to re-coat after 6 hours. Preparation

Make sure that the area you are painting is clean, dry and free from grease.

  • If you are painting radiators, make sure that they are not warm.
  • Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, ensure to remove any loose or flaking paint.
  • Remove or seal any previous oil/ solvent based finishes, a product such as would ensure adhesion and seal any knots.
  • Treat knots with an appropriate knotting solution.

Application

Before you start, stir the paint thoroughly in the tin to ensure that it's completely mixed and test a small area to ensure that you're happy with the colour and finish.

  • Apply two even coats with a roller or synthetic brush.
  • Leave at least 6 hours before applying the second coat.
  • If it's cold and damp, leave longer than 6 hours between coats.
  • Use a synthetic brush for best results.
  • Newly painted doors and windows should not be closed and radiators should not be heated until the paint is completely dry.

Aftercare & Storage

Store the paint in a cool, dry paint and protect it from extremes of temperature
